Jules, ek moet ook asb iets opmerk.

2. Ernstig: Ontkoppel jou "diff-lock" en/of jou 4x4 "transfer" behoorlik?

Jules' Patrol just wants to play rough. It knows that you can't go back on the black stuff with the diff locked, so now it keeps it engaged   .

Jules,

Sterkte.

Jules

:rolling:

Darn it. Sorry boet

Have you made sure that the transfer case and hubs are unlocking correctly? If they are I do not think it can be anything driveline-related, since all the turning components in the front axle should then be virtually stationary.

So get into your holy shirt (the one with all the holes in) and crawl underneath and try to turn the front propshaft. On my car with manual hubs, the shaft turns freely if either of the hubs are locked, but not if both are locked. On my buddy Pierre's car, a newer Y61 3lD, the shaft is actually held stationary, but I am not sure whether the widget that does this is in the hubs or in the transfer case. The transfer cases have the same model number, but I am not sure whether that means that they actually are the same, but crawl in underneath and get somebody you trust drive it slowly and check that the propshaft doesn't turn.

Hope that helps?
Peter

If Pierre's Y61 is an SA spec vehicle, it would have automatically locking hubs, so that explains the different behaviours.
