Many years on and the old girl is now legally mine... which means a soon to be fulfilled list of mods!
Hope the years have been treating you all well. Enjoy some photos of our last trip to Sutherland!

Welcome back !!!!
I did a trip through Sutherland en-route back to Jhb a few years back. What a lekker town. Did some moon looking ... Thought I was at a Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon concert....hahahaha.
I loved the gravel road out of Sutherland.

Thanks Ricster!
That road really was an adventure. Almost too much during a snow storm and at night, but she took us all the way.
Great pics of the moon, that was our intention but unfortunately it was overcast the few days we were there. Also tried to go and see the SALT, but alas... we couldn't get up the final path due to it being completely frozen over.
Was still great fun though.
Glad to see the Maiden still going strong!

Thx guys
Apologies for the sporadic entries, last couple of years have been interesting to say the least.
Currently keeping myself sane looking for bits and pieces for troll. Having the interiors redone and patching up all the pesky rust that comes from living on the coast. She also had a thermostat failure.. which resulted in cracked block.. so that was fun.
Still gave me an opportunity to do something I’ve wanted to do forever and give the old tank a heart transplant. Plenty of extra power now.
If anyone knows of early y61s being stripped pls do drop me a message. Potentially looking to replace the bonnet and stock front bumper.
Was quite sad I couldn’t make the 70th anniversary, but work in Covid times can’t be sniffed at.
Either way, I hope someone enjoys these pictures

Much appreciated, will try and make contact when I get back home.
She sounds pretty epic.. even with everything set up for daily long distance driving. Won’t be long before I install a windgat button though

I didn’t get much chance to film footage between it being drivable and having to head into Africa for work, but for those interested in the sound she makes, follow the link below
