Re: Burnco rear bumper

An update - no luck in hearing from or getting hold of Onca.
The following pictures are from Charles at Lynx 4x4 accessories, and the work he has done on the Patrol. He is in the Alberton area.
Apparently they have made modifications to the rear bumper to make it one solid bumper, as opposed to fiberglass side moulds as can be seen in the picture.
You can also find more of his work at the following link: http://www.4x4community.co.za/forum/sho ... hp?t=35062
Looks like really nice quality work; i was recommended to him through Hanko.
The price: R9000 including fitment, without spare wheel carrier. Spare wheel carrier about R2500 each. So all in all works out to about the same number as Burnco.
There's the convenience side of it being in Alberton with regards to fitment. Cosmetics wise, I kind of prefer the heavy-duty look of Burnco, although I must say that Charles's work looks of very high quality. Burnco obviously tried and tested down in the Cape. Charles also has bash plate / rocksliders for the Patrol.
Surely we can get a "group" discount if there is more than say 2 or 3 of us? Maybe we should have a poll, pool our resources, and then make an order??
