Dynamat

Post by WP_Patrol »

Does anyone have experience with Dynamat insulation? My TD42 is very noisy and hot inside the cabin and I desperately want to improve this.

I have heard that Dynamat helps quite a bit with noise.

Have you looked underneath the gear lever if the rubber boot is still good? If they are broken its a very noisy and hot cabin

Dirk did his GQ a while ago. I'm sure there's a post somewhere about it.

JP

I had the noise mats done for Skilpad at Craighall Car radio.
Don’t know what it costs per sq meter, but will get the price for the car for you

Both my GQ's had this treatment - makes a definite difference.

I think David did his GU recently as well.....

I've used it to great effect in many of my cars to stop noise & vibration, but have n idea how well it will work to stop heat transfer....

We've used to to insulate an old Landy for sound and heat. Made a fantastic difference, it's like driving in a hot, quiet oven now instead of a being at a thrash metal concert in hell

Seriously though, very good product.
