Gol my die 30Di Patrols kan dit doen, ek ry nog die een wat Johan in Voetspore 3 (ek dink) Kenia toe gery het uit Gansbaai. Ekn met 200000km op die klok het die motor nog nie probleme gegee nie. En ek self was al in Zambie met hom en geen probleme nie.

Onthou sodra jy oor die grense gaan kom jou spoed af, 100km/h maks, dus is jou kanse om skade aan die motor te doen baie minder, net as jy swaar sand of moder ry loop jy risiko om skade aan te rig. Soos almal al genoem het neem basic spares saam om jou te help tot by die volgende groot plek. Verder in Zambie alleen word daar meer Patrols in 'n maand verkoop as in SA in 'n jaar.... so maak die somme en ry jou Patrol!

I agree oom Mac, Lost two already and the "tensioner" on that assembly is also prone to failure, so get a spare from Alert spares at 1/4 of the cost of the OEM part en working well. PS. the two that failed are OEM parts.

Replaced tensioner with OEM (not wanting to take any chances) before a long trip. After about 6800 km throught Botswana and Namibia it was KUS and had to be replaced!

It really covers a LOT of MUST know things for Africa travel .. Vehicle and Admin and health and survival and then some.
The pict on the DELO oil is just a "general knowledge" item and the reason why I advocate Caltex Delo [now 400] so vehemintly
