Re: Dash Cubby for 2000 Patrol
The ones for the Hardbodies / NP300s around 2008 identical. Which means you should be able to get one at any bakkie place. Not sure where you are from, but try One-Tonner spares in Pretoria.
Edit: I see you are in Bloemfontein. I have one lying around in the garage at home. You're welcome to it, if you can arrange a lift.

Re: Dash Cubby for 2000 Patrol
Oom Mac,
The GU has two standard DIN slots(180×50mm). One for the radio, one for the cubby. Some people may have aftermarket head units in (ie: double DIN).
Edit: if it is a double DIN, there is only space for the head unit, and there is no space for a cubby.
In short: if the radio sits in the top slot, the cubby can fit underneath. And visa versa.
Edit: I have to reroute my antenna some time. I will start a thread about removing the GU centre bit about that, with pictures, when I do. It is very easy.

Re: Dash Cubby for 2000 Patrol
JP,
That is very different from the circa 2000 GU cubby. Pretty much sure it would work anyware (the DIN standard), but the holes on the side may not align 100%. No idea what variant that is from...

I have no idea...
It looks like a generic from an audio shop?

Re: Dash Cubby for 2000 Patrol
No - I didn't mean generic, as from an audio shop. It looks very 'Nissan-esque' in terms of the design (ie: very similar to the prior photos posted on this thread - with the taper along the sides, as well as the top and bottom).
What I meant by generic, is that because it is a DIN standard mount, it would fit in any vehicle capable of taking a DIN radio (ie: virtually every vehicle out there). The only issue is that the bolts in the sides may not match up with the bolts in the dash.
In short: pretty sure it is a Nissan cubby. Pretty sure it is not a circa 2000 GU cubby.
Which means it is either a GQ cubby, or a facelift GU one. Perhaps someone can clarify ? :)

On the same note: the OP is getting the cubby as pictured in is original post. It is boxed and packed here, and the courier will collect it tomorrow morning.
