4500 grx radiator needed
Hi. I need to replace my radiator on my 2000 4500 GRX Patrol. Does anyone know where to obtain a replacement unit at a reasonable price? Thanks very much.

Re: 4500 grx radiator needed
Tombo radiators work. I'd just honestly suggest you make sure that there is no rubbing between the expansion tank (at the top of the radiator) and the inside of the bonnet. If necessary, contact Tombo to adjust the stuff.
I'm not talking nonsense - my first Tombo radiator failed recently due to the expansion tank wearing through as a result of chaffing (despite regularly putting sticky tape stuff between the two). Thread is here: http://www.patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=7247
My new Tombo radiator fits perfectly.

Hi thanks for the replies. Tombo radiators only available in JHB? I am in Cape Town. What price did you get the radiator for? Do you have a contact number for them, please. Thanks very much.

I cannot remember the price, and I'm away from home at the moment, so cannot check the invoice. I recall it being around R4K excluding installation, but may be wrong. The best would be to get hold of Graham from G-Tech motors (Pathmaker on the forum). I'll PM his number to you. I'm sure someone will be able to arrange transport down to Cape Town (I look at Tinus ).
Be sure to ask for price for the "newer" model radiator (like the new one I have).

Rudy, maak seker jy earth daai radiator van jou aan die engine, anders gaan jy groot moeilikheid he oor 'n jaar of vyf.
Aluminium is beter. Dra baie meer hitte oor (omdat hy nie geverf hoef te word nie), en veroorsaak nie galvanic corrosion nie.
