My 4.2d GU patrol
So, Tinus knows I'm looking for a GU 4.2 D naturally aspirated
Saturday morning he calls me to tell me about one he has heard about through oom Mac, who heard about it from a terrano friend of his, Henno who knows the seller Kobus.
Literally a friend of a friend of a friend of a family member's family. Hows that!
I arrange with Graham Cumming to do his "freebee patrol buyers' inspection"
I arrange with oom Mac to drive to Warmbaths to collect the vehicle which we did yesterday afternoon/evening.
I meet oom Mac at Grahams place and we go in his prado because his friend Henno said the farm roads are not for platkarre.
So Mac and I collect the Patrol and I drive it back to Grahams' place for him to Inspect.
Graham called me to say there are a couple of small things, leak(perhaps just hose) at the dieselpump and another at the auxillary tank. Engine mountings, front right auto hub, couple of cosmetic items rear tail light cracked.
But engine is good, gearbox is good, transfer case is good, rest of the drivetrain is good. I'ts a keeper.
So I call the owner and tell him I'm taking it !!!
So thank you to Tinus who helped
Thank you to oom Mac who helped
Thank you to Graham who helped
Thank you to the owner Kobus has given me some time to effect the payment, till then the car will stay at oom Mac's place.
great guys!
Now I must sell my platkar quick!
