Here are the cars I photographed on the ramp:

Owner Reading
Alex Roux 81
Michael 74
Bogeyman 69
JoshJ 54
Rudger 55
Stefaansie 68
cvanvollenstee 57
Tinus Lotz 68
Alex Botha 77
Oellie 48

Eaglefire 42

Peter Connan 83
Cruiser 105 72

With regard to tire widths and traction: If the article SJC posted in a different thread about tire contact patch being directly related to pressure versus applied load is correct, then here again tire width should make next to no difference. And theory makes sense to me, apart from the fact that sidewall strength will have a small impact.

The contributing factors to traction here are probably tire compound and tire pressure (greater area in contact versus the "un-damped suspension effect").
In fact for this obstacle specifically, the best possible tires are probably a set of nice, soft racing slicks. Road-biased tires are probably better here than muddies, especially tires like BFG's, which have a design biased to give long life and thus have a pretty hard compound?

I've been offline for a few days. Currently waiting for my flight back to Lanseria, and thought I'd catch up forum wise.

It looks like it was an awesome day. I was planning on stopping by some time during the day, but the son's chess tournament went on for ever... :(

Wel gedaan almal. Sal volgende keer verbyval.
