My 1984 Patrol is for sale. I have found a 1998 GQ Patrol that I want to buy and I do not have space for 3 4x4's and 3 motor cars plus the offroad trailer
The sale will not include the 29meg radio, the 33's and 10" mags, KC spotlights, H/L jack and dual battery system.
Since my last posting of pictures, it's had a re-paint and its looking absolutely stunning.

Since buying it, I have done the following
Overalled the complete braking system
Converted the points and condensor to electronic ignition
Fitted new matching front bucket seats
Put in new floor covering
Fibre glassed 2 leaks in the floor
Fitted custom safari seat covers
Recovered the door panels
Fitted 5 refurbished 7j x 15inch mags
Bought 3 good 2nd hand 31' tyres (It now has 5 good 31" tyres)
Fitted new front windcreen and a new windscreen rubber
Bought and fitted a 5 speed gearbox
Had 3 complete new props made and fitted
Fitted a roof rail
Made a new rear "pipe" type bumber with treadplate on the step part
New rear leaf springs
New sideshaft seals on rear axle
Serviced front wheel bearings and fitted new locktabs to both sides
Fitted a level 3 alarm and anti hi-jack system, linked to the central locking system
Repainted the body.
Fitted 3 extra fused cigatrette lighter sockets as well as a fused Hella plug to various places in the dash area using heavy duty electric cabling
Had the radiator repaired, serviced and flushed.
Fitted rubber wheel arch extensions
The electric (front only) windows work well, as does the aircon. In fact, everything except the trip meter on the vehicle works. Typical for these vehicles, it does have rust in the roof gutter area, but this I fix as the spots of rust appear. The speedo indicates a mileage of around 240 000 km, but I can't vouch for this mileage. Koos jr overalled this engine some two years ago and it goes very well and it does not use any oil.
I have spent over R44 000-00 on the vehicle (excluding the purchase price) since buying it 15 months ago.
My brother has just used the vehicle to Mozambique, a round trip of 2000km and the vehicle performed faultlessly, without a moment's problems and returning fuel consumption figures of (with a rooftop tent fitted) of 13.8 to 14.2 lt per 100km cruising mostly at 110kph
Any cash offers of R50k plus will be considered.
