Thanks so far for the replies,

I must say, Ricster, I tend to agree with you.

The patrol is extremely "pap" on the pull off and uphills, also now that you mention it, I don't hear the turbo at all. Surely one should hear the turbo coming in? what can cause it not to boost?

I have ordered the Auber EGT gauge from the USA, I expect it to be here before the end of the month.

I'm guessing MAF is either dirty or not working properly. From what I hear they are not too pricey to buy. If the ECU isn't getting the correct readings for the airflow it will not open up the turbo to deliver more air when you put foot. Basically it is a repeat of the hand grenade symptoms, where the MAF gets blocked up over time and the ECU lands up overfueling.

Update,

So I found that the vacuum pipes on the Intake were swapped around, changed them and now the beast is released in this Partol :blonde: :blonde:
You can hear the turbo spool up and it pulls out of the blocks, even wheelspin.... for a auto!!!! (not that I do that normaly :naughty: :naughty: )

A puff of black smoke at pull off but that is it.
I can now understand that the EGT will ski rocket..

Tinus
