Ons wag sedert Oktober 2015 vir my een kind se "un-abridged" affere.
Wag nog in spanning!

And the rules are changing again. Aparently the sertificate wil now be replaced with a passport that has all the details as per the un-abridged certificate...

Re: Trip 2 - SWAZILAND 18-21 March 2016
Ok so now I have a new question
I got passports for my kids last year June for our Namibia trip and had to get un-abridge certificates as well as passports for them. Now that this info will be printed inside the passports means I have to re apply for their passports or what?

Re: Trip 2 - SWAZILAND 18-21 March 2016
Seems at this stage that is the plan, not yet approved and nothing put in place so at the moment just a passport is required again as was previously the case...........
Plan is to stop there this afternoon, will try and get confirmation from them as well.

Re: Trip 2 - SWAZILAND 18-21 March 2016
My wife just called the home affairs office we dealing with, as we have been waiting since October for my spin's unabridged.
Now, according to them, although a statement has gone out on 5 Feb, they have not been informed about this, and therefore as far as they are concerned, this unabridged thing still applies.
However, what people such as we can do while we still wait of the unabridged, is to get a "travel doc" from the relevant home affairs office, which is issued on the same day that you you apply for it.
So to be on the safe said, this is what you can do for Swaziland, provided of course you all already have your passports!
