I heard some horror stories about a patrol 4.8 doing 60l/100km in thick sand somewhere is australia, that must hurt the wallet
Love the 4.8 power/torque and super smooth auto box
Tinus, we will have to see what the standard pump is capable of. 500nm might need a 12mm pump and bigger turbo as boost is going to be around 1.2bar for that amount of torque if I have to guess.

Thanks guys. I know the 4500 RPM, I'm driving one myself as an interim solution.
I've also heard that the GRX Auto has very looooong gearing - which is great; but it apparantly also "searches" on inclines, and kick back to 4th frequently.......?? This true??
If this is a hassle, I'd rather try find a nice 4,8 GL manual. Apparently you do'nt get them new any more??

Nee wat Tinus, we do'nt really tow heavy stuff . Maybe a caravan 1/2 times a year, same with the boat. And not far distances.
I just LOVE low RPM at highway speeds, gives a much more laid back drive.
Just another OT question - accessories on the GRX are not a problem I guess?? I'm talking basic stuff??
