Re: River trip 6 tot 10 aug 2015
Just some feedback. Scubbed the Patrol today. Just scraped the tin foils underneath. Nothings bend or broken. Got 5.1km/l in the river. And 6.2 km/liter all round. Must add I was driving between 120 and 140 on the way home and pushing it where I could.
Being alive is a Blessing!!
Regards,
Joshua

Re: River trip 6 tot 10 aug 2015
The last obstacle of the day was another rocky ridge, but not nearly as bad as the previous one.
The camp was a pleasant place, with good shade and clean, soft sand. Collecting firewood was a nightly affair, greatly assisted by a couple of "boom-scooters" (chainsaws) brought along by Tinus and Phillip.
Here's Rakker bringing a log for cutting.
Once again, a beautiful evening with lots of stars and almost no wind.
In the morning, Tinus got warmed up by charging the wall of drift sand just under our campsite.
He was soon joined by Josh, Michael, Errol and Tony's son.
Graham's contribution to camping hygiene is this shower made from a "cat fooler".

Michael found a rock to pose on:
later, we passed under a bridge and Evan asked to be allowed to take some pics as the cars drove past underneath. Seemed like a good idea to me too.
Then, somebody found an even better rock to pose on.

Sodra ek bietjie tyd kry sal ek fotos oplaai.
Dankie vir die aangename ervaring ek is beslis weer by.
