Bilstein for 4.8 LWB GU Wagon

Post by vanhack »

Can anyone give me the part numbers for the Bilstein shocks, would be installed with King springs of around 25mm-50mm lift only. The bilstein distributor here will be lost if I asked, I am based in Dubai.

I have been around in circles with 2 distributors of TJM here, and they have lost my business and faith. Unforunately Bilstein is not well distributed for offroad application here, but I have heard only good things about them from Australian forum.

Hi VanHack .. contact Phillip Lutz via TENNECO South Africa .. I got RANCHO 9000 for our Terrano via them and can only declare joy with those shocks .. BUT Phillip might be able to link you with right dealer "up there in the desert" for Bisltein.

Rancho dealer here is the biggest day light robber in the whole 4x4 market, Their markup on parts is part price plus overnight courier charge from the US. :surprised:

I would rather drive Rangerover/cayenne/MB GL/Infiniti/Tourag/X5/X6 offroad than buy anything of him.

I have a 150kms plus sand trip in 2 weeks time, and I need to sort out my suspension which seems to have GQ coils on

Hi Vanhack

I have Bilsteins on my Patrol. The part number I got from the SA reseller is 24060431 (Front) and 24060448 (Back). These are the B6 model. They a mono tube shocks and I am very happy with them. Just make sure about the lift. I was told that we can only get shocks for 2" lift and less. I have a 1" lift on my car. You can see the shocks in the back of the picture.

Marino4x4,
something is not right with your part numbers, as I have been given these from Patrol4x4.com (Australian Forum) that the ones I am after for a 40mm lift should be
Front 24-012669
Back 24-012676

OR maybe the 4.5 Engined GU has a different part number....
