Guys,
Glad all turned out well.
This is my first knowledge of the fire striker and I think this is magic.
I will for sure also invest in at least one and if I can two.
Sorry Peter for your close encounter but I am glad otherwise I would still not had the knowledge I have now.
This should be must in all cars.

Looking forward to the pictures to come of the grate day.

Well done !!
I must say that some of that "wheel in the air stuff" was crazy - but oddly it looked more extreme from the outside of the vehicle than it felt from the inside. I was really grateful for Vaughan's guidance and felt I could put absolute trust in his instructions, which as it turned out was correct. I did things in the Patrol I would never have dared in my Land Rover because of the Patrol's superior capability (difflock primarily makes a big difference as does the articulation but my old Discovery wasn't too bad on that score either) and the far greater experience of the guide. Watch out, next time I'm bring the Metalian Mini (maybe?)!

bogeyman wrote:What a great day!! Thanks to all involved in the arrangements. Splitting the groups also made for good progress and much playtime.

The small incident with the engine fire showed how quickly something can go wrong and how the correct actions with a fire stick prevented a very serious incident.
I will be off to the shops to buy some fire sticks on Monday.

Got some good pics and will post tomorrow.

Chris.
Where can I get my hands on some Brand Stokkies??? They sound like a must have!!

Glad you and the Patroll are OK Peter!!
Regards
Adrian
