Peter,I found them to fail because they work so good.They allow so mutch movement,that they start ro turn and tear in the steelback-bush.Not only Patrol but LC to.
The car has a swim feel on the road aswel.This is what I expereanced with customer vehicles.Some may differ.
Allso,never have I seen a aftermarket bush that will last 10 years like the OE parts.

A simple example: V-belts or Multigroove belts.Aftermarket one's or not from the agents belt dont last as long as a agent belt.Toyota d4d aftermarket belt make a noise,fit the OE,noise gone.I am off the mark here,but some parts from agents are a must.

I agree that some OE parts are definately better than Pirate. Good examples are rubber parts like engine mounts, hoses, belts and, yes, suspension bushes. Also clutches and electrical connectors and so forth.

However with the price Nissan charge for their belts, I rather buy Pirate belts for my Patrol. Note that this does not necessarily go for cam belts or multi-groove belts where one belt drives all ancilliaries, but on the TB42 we do not have those, and the critical components (fan and waterpump) has two belts.

FWIW: No offense to anyone intended, but the Aussie Patrol people suggest to ever always only buy Geniune Nissan or OEM rubber bushings. For that matter, the Patrol people where I live are adamant on this as well. Many of these guys have forgotten more than I will ever know about the care and feeding of a Patrol.

I think it's a matter of knowing where the "not original" parts are made. The factory might be " more known" then you think.
But everybody's free to believe what and pay as much as they want/can

I added the words "OEM" for a reason. They may not say "Nissan" on the bag, but if they are made in the same factory, same difference most likely.

But as I said, no offense intended to anyone here, as I have bought from your company and probably will do so in the future.

My reply wasn't mend for you only. I just try to inform the people, but I know it's difficult sometimes to gain thrust and believe that they're good aftermarket or OEM. And of course everybody is free to buy where and what they want.

How much are you selling these control arm bushes for that have been identified as the replaceable parts, my GQ needs I think, and how do one know that the current bushes are worn ( probably is after 17 years I guess )
