Ryan Jackson

Post by RyanJackson »

Hi All,

Just got my first Patrol (thanks Tinus for finding such a beauty).
Its a 2016 3.0l CRD with 42801 km on it, at the time of this post (will have to do something about that).

What its got:
- Bullbar
- Winch (Ironman 12000lb)
- Spot lights
- Cruise control
- 2" lift

The plan so far:
- An Exhaust (which its going in for tomorrow). 3" stainless steel from Viper (Turbo back).
- Madman (Ant's is going to sort that out on Thursday).
- Then once I have free'd up some funds I will do 35's (to everyone's dismay  ), diff ratio's, roof rack and awning.

Super happy with it.

Not sure how the attachments work...

Yes. Possibly not a bad idea.

I've never driven a 3L and I have got no idea one pulls. But I'd hesitate going above 35" o my TB45. Yes, diff ratios may possibly help with this, but I honestly don't think the TB45 is built for 35".

Again - I'm a petrol head and not an oil burner and don't know the 3L Patrols at all. But keep that in mind. Sure Tinus will have a better idea about that.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the input. I spoke to Tinus and 35's with the ratios should be okay. Definitely not a bad idea to test with an old pair first though.

Just got back from Viper. Sounds good, but nothing crazy. The 3" definitely helps her breathe.
