Re: River trip 06-10 August 2022
And just like that another rivertrip is done. For me , it is the start of summer.
Some of the new guys had some wide eye moments , but they will be back next year. You know its is a new guy if he walks up to an ouman and asks" Wheere keks a maan?
Some of the basics we sometimes forget were re visited:
Know your machine and trust your spotter.
Use your machine and look only at your spotter. (A spotter is not the guy that colors in the leopard).
Lekker!

Re: River trip 06-10 August 2022
Speaking of which, I did not want to be a party pooper (no pun intended), but...
Some people on this trip had zero camp etiquette.
Confronting people on this while camping is tricky without causing a bad taste / smell, so I do it here in stead (and catch a wider audience).
There were instances of no toilet hole being dug and even toilet paper left wide open for the wind to carry further. That's not on.

Whoever the guilty ones were, please may I request in future,
Get a spade and dig your own whole. Close it up afterwards. Toilet paper included.
Thanks!
