Awesome thanks a lot!!JTEC wrote: ↑28 Oct 2020 09:14HiMatewis wrote: ↑27 Sep 2020 19:13 Hi JTEC,
Can you please help me with the code of the Coilpacks. Bought a patrol with a VK45DE engine and it started with a misfire right after i disconnected the battery to put it on charge. Might have to start looking at the coilpacks as that was my first port of call as well.
Here is a link to the units I got. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-of-8-NEW-I ... 2749.l2649
Hope this helps.

Re: JTECs Patrol Progression
The coil for the VK45de is the same as TB48de.
So most of the places (not stealers) in SA sells them under TB48.

Re: JTECs Patrol Progression( UPDATE on PG 6 )
Some updates on the old Trol
I wasnt happy with the 10j rim setup, I prefer an 8j and I love the look of Steelies. Got myself a new set of 15 x 8j -20 offset steelies from Charles on the forum.

Then had them resprayed black

Sold our ground tent setup and got a second hand Eezi-awn family RTT. Its big and bulky and I have lost roof packing space but for me the convience outways the negatives.

Made some small progress with the drawer system. Still nowhere near finished. Having used it a few times has helped decide where to modify to suit our needs.

As a temp option to handle the weight of the tent and rear drawer system etc I organised a set of used GU rated coils. When fitting I noticed that the previous owner had already lifted the car raising the coil base plates by 50mm. Not sure I like this but Ill decide what to do when I put proper suspention in.

BEFORE FRONT

BEFORE REAR

LIFTED FRONT

LIFTED REAR

Starting to take some shape

The cover that came with the RTT was pretty dead so ended up buying a new cover from Eezi-awn. The new one is slightly larger but this alows for us to leave the bedding inside the tent when traveling.
