Jannie
I wouldn't get most of the stuff from Nissan, but I would get the nissan viscous hub, water pump and thermostat.
for belts:
Just go to the local parts store and get the belts (Dunlop makes them so do a number of other manufacturers)
For the water hoses get the kit from TerrainTamer. it includes all of the little hoses on the 4.8
Alternator and starters - shop around for aftermarket units. PM me if you need help
Fuel Pump:
use the bosch unit. its basically a direct fit.
for the vacuum hoses , just buy 4mm vacuum hose off the roll. you cant just use any hose here, it must be for vacuum.

Re: 222K Overlanding Parts Kit
I took the Patrol to Frans (Tour de Frans) for a thorough checkup and fitment/refurbish of all necessary (although some not faulty yet) parts. I took it for a 4700km test drive
and all went smooth and I am hugely impressed with Frans's professionalism and willingness to help with whatever is being asked from him. A big thanks to Frans
Hopefully now for another 200 000 hassle-free km of pleasure

Re: 222K Overlanding Parts Kit
If you bother carrying a spare starter with you I suggest also getting the tools to fit it. Starter replacement on a patrol is a really tedious process needing extra hands with extra wrists on them. A swivel joint for your socket spanner set is a must

Agreed
The starter sits on the kakkest spot. Carry a hammer with you, sometimes just hitting the starter with a hammer give it that last bit of juice for you to get the car going

Re: 222K Overlanding Parts Kit
Sorry for the late reply Hannes, but it's a bit hectic from when I came back from the trip.
Frans has a 68/72 point checklist when he inspects your Patrol. What was done in the end was:
A full service - Oil change, Oil-, Air- and Fuel filter changed etc
Long life Sparkplugs
All fanbelts replaced
Difflock vacuum selenoid hoses cleaned
A difflock filter was installed
All hoses replaced (Terrain Tamer)
Suspension bushes
Front and back Radius arms bushes replaced
Front and back Panhard Rod bushes replaced
Starter/Alternator recon
Viscous recon
Front wheel bearing play adjusted
Total cost was +- R 23 000
What was done previously at about 180 000km
Wheel bearings replaced
Manual hubs fitted
Radiator replaced
Replaced the Exhaust system while the Patrol was with Frans.
Also to mention to check the engine and gearbox mountings.
