Possible Cylinder Head Gasket Leak
Hey Guys
I got under the Patrol this morning to do my regular checks of the drive train and noticed oil leaking from where the transmission and engine block join. Further investigation showed that it looks like the oil leak is coming from the cylinder head on the exhaust side. I suspect that the cylinder head gasket needs to be replaced. I would appreciate a few 2nd opinions as the Troll is due for its 135k service this coming Wednesday.
Cheers

Re: Possible Cylinder Head Gasket Leak
I would be concerned that the problem is more than just a gasket...
But I don't really know.

Re: Possible Cylinder Head Gasket Leak
I was at Franz Fourie today and he took a look at my Troll and confirmed that the root cause of my issue is that my vehicle was overfilled with oil at it's last service 5,000 km ago. The oil is way above the "High" mark on my dipstick.
There is no oil in my radiator fluid, which eliminates a leaking gasket, and there is no smoke coming out of my exhaust so rings are fine.
I'm taking the vehicle to the dealer on Wednesday to have the new front disks fitted and they will drain the additional oil.
Franz is a super oke and he know his stuff!
Cheers

Isn't the dipstick on the other side of the engine? Asking for a friend.
