If it were me I’d get in contact with Tinus and ask for his assistance. He’ll help with getting you what you want, the beauty of that is he’ll more than likely know the seller and the car, nice to have that kind of history.
BUT, if this webuycars one is something you really like, I’d still get graham Cummings to check it out. It’s great that Anthony has given it a mark of approval already, that’s a valuable thing.

Ok, if I’m honest, if it were me I’d look for a GU patrol

Thanks Graham. I do drive a Nissan Patrol 2013 diesel model. This is not going to be a daily driver, nor Safari vehicle. It's just that as I kid on my first visit to the Kgalagadi, there was a beautiful TB42 that was sikver and metallic-red. All I want is a collectable that I can drive once or twice a week for enjoyment. To me, that shape is iconic. So,I already have a nice Patrol in running order.

One of my very good and old clients brought one of his many Patrols in for some work. Its a 1998 GQ bakkie fitted with a TD42 non turbo engine. It has now done 891,000km and is still the original engine.
Unfortunately it was used by a friend a whike back and was over heated and the engine got some damage. They still drove it after the over heating for more than 100,000km, but its time for thange abd getting the Patrol running properly again.

Its now getting a new TD42 turbo engine. This will be a low boost no intercooler setup to just have it running around 20% better than the standard TD42 non turbo engine. So it will be good for another 20 years.
