Post by petri oosthuizen »

Vakmanskap is uitstekend.

Sal ook maar more eers by my pel by Silverton hoor wats wat, dalk is dit nie so major issue nie.

Baie dankie sover!!

If its the original radiator it will have built up residue that reduces its heat exchange function. Rather replace. A radiator is cheaper than an engine. If you PM me the details I can inquire if the supplier has stock. I've done a few 4.5 radiator replacements this past year. They're all getting to the age where the hoses need replacing and the radiator says goodbye. Mine included.

Try Commercial Auto Spares in Selby Jhb, or Bumper to Bumper Spares in Malvern Jhb, but it is better if you take along the old one as a sample. Probably around R1500 to R2000 for a new one.....

You can Google both, but phoning is not going to work, you MUST take a sample....

I just last month needed to get a radiotor problem solved for my son's 2001 Fiesta 1400i with the CVH engine. Silverton said they no longer fit new tanks to cores, they only sell new ones. But they have no stock and will not get new stock of such an old model car. Ford last had them in stock in 2013.

Bumper to Bumper had 4 types listed for s 2001 Fiesta, one of them was the correct one for R650. Without a sample I would not have come risgt, as the were very similar, but only one was right....
