I think it will be either 265/75 or 255/85........but the availability of the 265's will probably sway me.

I also want to make the car "lazy" in top gear with a too high tyre, as much as I would like the looks of it.......ons het klomp bulte hier en in Lesotho.

I use 285/75/16's on mine and drive through the mountain passes regularly. What a pleasure.

N/A however I believe you are making the right decision. I put the bigger tires before the turbo and some mountain passes became a bit of a hassle with the lower effective torque.
May the road be long.. and dirty.

Haven't checked as I am new to the Patroling, does the spare wheel cover fit the 285/75/17?

I stand corrected but I think on the GU patrol ( not sure on a GQ) the 285 tyre doesn't fit in the hard shell wheel cover.
