No idea where to next year???
Hi,
I am sitting with a dilemma..... Where should I go and spend my next leave in May 2020? There are way to many options........ Thought about Richtersveld, KNP then into Zim, Kgalagadi again - RSA side, Garden route, Nam, Bots........... Pleeeeeeeeeeease help!!!!
What would you do with 3 weeks? Any routes / trips you have done or would love to do? I need that seed planted in my head!
The wife is not helping, only reply is " Jy kan kies, ek gaan hierdie jaar saam waar jy wil gaan" (maybe I am not listening to what is actually said )
My thinking is, someone out there has done what I would like to do or I don't know yet that I would like to do it! Why reinvent the wheel and do all this fancy planning if it is done already

Loaded statement
Peter is right, NB questions. New places, soft 4x4, camping/chalets, budget, how far?
My wife loves the Canyon-Kruger-Moz (Tinus) experience, but in chalets... 3 weeks is perfect.

Re: No idea where to next year???
Is daar so n roete om te doen as ek alleen toer, waar is jou gunsteling Lodge gelee?

Richtersveld is next level.

Re: No idea where to next year???
I have long been dreaming of crossing the border into Moz at Pafuri, then through the river, then north into Zim into Gonarhezhou. That could be the start of an epic trip, but it seems as if Zim's camping fees are a bit crazy.

Ha! when i was reading the first post I thought of suggesting Gonarhezhou! I have no clue about it, but Ive been slowly but surely doing a bit of reading on it, it looks like a nice adventure to me.Peter Connan wrote: ↑07 Nov 2019 16:54 I have long been dreaming of crossing the border into Moz at Pafuri, then through the river, then north into Zim into Gonarhezhou. Re: No idea where to next year???
The Gonerazhou trip seems like a good idea. Maybe I can come back through Moz and add the Tinus "Lodge" idea and work my way down to Ponta de Ouro, circling back to Witbank. Now to see where to camp along the route - KNP, Gonarezhou, Moz, Maybe a week each. Advise would be appreciated!
Tijmen, the Richtersveld is also a must and will be kept on my bucket list.
