Duram 88 on mag wheels, yes or no
Simple question. Opinions yes or no for Duram 88 on mag wheels
I've actually left it a bit late because I'm about to start the job when my coffee is finished but I had a last minute burst of bangheid.
I've used 88 on lots of stuff but never on wheels.
I've always used Hammerite on wheels. Lasts forever (over 10 years on one of my cars) but a teeny bit to shiny for my liking. Got both here and about to pull the trigger on one of them

Used it on my roof rack straight over the existing paint and its holding vas. The nice thing is that you can touch up if needed.

Ja I've just done a roofrack with it too, coincidently. Packing system in a few vehicles coated with it too, instead of carpet. It's just specifically wheels that I'm cautious about because I'm not sure what it will look like after wheelspinning through sand/mud. Matt/satin surfaces can look shitty after a bit of abrasion so wondering how the 88 will hold out in that situation from a cosmetic point of view

Keep us posted on how it goes..... I've thought of doing that too on the mags, but also not sure with the heat and wear

IanT can confirm but I actually think my old Alloy wheels were done in Duram 88. If so they definitely held up well.

No Jade is was Raptor that I painted your Mags with, I have used Duram 88 in the back of some of my game viewers and can confirm it is not as tough as Raptor, but a hell of a lot cheaper

My Chuck's rock sliders are done with Duram 88. Easy to touch up, but very seldom required. No idea how it will work on a rim, though...
