Re: Duine trip 2019. 9-13 October
Looking at some of the bragging on here, it seems I might be the slowest Petrol for the weekend. At least 4 turbo'd 4.8's on the list
And some rumors of 350 kW on the wheels. That is double my output.
This is going to be massive!
Now if my leave gets approved, I can pay for accommodation, and then I'm there to eat some dust and drool at all the Patrol porn.

May the road be long.. and dirty.

Re: Duine trip 2019. 9-13 October
Morning to all" GOERAPANNERS".
So the time has come for our 2019 Dune trip, some of the folks are leaving tommorow already and sleeping over at Kuruman Redsands,as for myself,Thys,Tinus and Herman we are leaving on Wednesday morning at 2am.
Guys just a few reminders. Stock up on feul and everything at Upington, dont forget the wood, 3 bags per vechile please. that is if it is the big bags, small bags you can take 6.You can buy nice wood at the Agri garage and there is a bottle store asswell.
I have ask the lodge to open there bar for us, so that we can have a drink and also asked them to stock up on ice. We are going to have the price giving on Saturday night at the lodge. There is also braai facilitys at the lodge, so we can 'kuier' there for the last night.
There is limited power, so bring all solar pannells and battery's. Also bring first aid kits and necesary medication as Upington is 100km away.
Campers we want to camp in a circle and one fire in the middle please. The chalets (uptown) members will also join us on the pan.
Please bring your own drinking water,AS THE WATER IS DRINKABLE, but brakish. Also make sure that you do have a hat, as it is already Oktober and it does get hot on the saltpan, at night it gets cooler, so some warmclothes will do.
We will also stop on the routes for lunch each day. And as for breakfest in the mornings, there will be enough time. All the events only start at 9am in the mornings.
Feul...... You are going to need enough feul for 250km on tar driving, and 100km offroad.
Hope to see all there. Drive safe.

You guys must enjoy! Drive safe, don't blow any motors and have several cold beers for me on top of a dune at sunset
