So we have done some more mods on our "benchmark Patrol" tonsee where we can push the td42 engine too.
Thanks to Vanderlinde for doing some head work and changing some things on the camshaft and doing some balancing on the rotating parts, we managed to set a new benchmark for the old school engine on Attie Diedericks Patrol
Only running at 1.6 bar we could not get a proper reading on 2,000rpm as the torque was too much for the dyno and we lost traction on every attempt.
197,3kw on the wheels is really impressive!
This was a good test to see what gains we got with just doing the balance, head and cam and the numbers clearly show that it works!

This is however as far as we can go with the turbo setup. We might install a very cleaver turbo in the future to get to our 2 bar target and hopefully get around 230kw on the wheels......... so whatch this space

Julian, I think the torque figures on the second run should be higher, but we could not find traction @ 2,000rpm so we just recorded what we could measure. We will do a hub dyno at some point
