My Patrol in a new Youtube series

Post by Anthony Forgey » 19 Aug 2019 13:51

So I was invited to join in the filming of a new Youtube series called "Off Course 4X4". I had met the producer of the show when I camped at a spot in the Waterberg.

I was on of a few "guest vehicles" We drove the Hennops trail where the pilot episode was filmed. It was published on youtube last week. If you watch the video and enjoyed it, please "like" and "subscribe" to the channel.

The plan is to have the 3 core presenters and a few "guest" vehicles in each episode. The producer said that he will do an episode where the guest vehicles are all Patrols.

Here's the Video

I must say, I have never tried the rocky obstacle at 1.2 PSI.

Will have to get some bead-lock rims first...

Good to see the Landy doing what it does best.

Thanks Chaps.

PC... yes 1.2 psi... its quite funny.. Japie made a correction in the video description, but everybody picks that one up

also blow down the tyres

No matter how you do Hennops, the patrol doesn't even break a sweat.

Japie has since asked me to be one of the presenters of the show. Pretty cool.

Now THAT will be cool. Because no matter how hard he tries, Japie is obviously not terribly comfortable with the Queen's English.
And I feel he is trying a bit too hard with the technical driving lingo.

Must agree. Take it as constructive criticism, but he shouldn’t be the narrator. Not cos it’s not his mother tongue, but it’s needs to sound more natural.
He’s got a good recipe though, looking forward to seeing more Patrol content!
