I am not that patient a man as to be able to live with the N/A TD42.
Remember that the car is also my daily driver, and that I tend to tow when on holiday.
haha, ok, got it.

off topic, I still have that old BFG sitting in my garage that you asked for a year or so back

Update:

Clutch has been replaced and is not slipping anymore. Now the rear wheels are slipping.
Also, the exhaust has been connected. I did not have a completely new exhaust made, as I had to replace the exhaust less than a year ago. It's not the ideal system for a TD42T, being a 64mm system with quite a large silencer, but it is a stainless steel Viper and was not cheap, so it's staying. It has increased the EGT's somewhat and reduced the boost just a little bit, but at least it's also nice and quiet.

There are a few things still to do, but the car is quite usable now. Next priorities are different heater pipes and a new oil pressure sender unit.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Piet, my 3.0 Di se hele exhaust system is vervang met 'n 76mm pyp, vanaf die turbo tot by en insluitende sy tailpiece.

Wil jy nou daai 4.2 T se foefie valve toe wurg met 'n kezoompyp kleiner as 64mm?

I am also busy replacing all the water hoses. The two main hoses were what came with the donor car and they were pretty soft with age. The heater hoses were a mix of old discards from under Michael's workbench and some spare hose Ant had in his car, joined with a plastic plumbing fitting. Not ideal.

Because the original heater hoses are hard to find when travelling, i decided to make up some stainless pipes so that I just need some short straight bits and some short elbows to connect them to the car. I am doing something similar with the main hoses, just straights and elbows, but this time connected with commercial Aluminium nipples bought from Volkspares.

I also went a little bit overboard and got Polyurethane piping and elbows, so hopefully I won't ever have to replace water hoses again...
