Grabouw Scenic 4x4 Trail

Post by JTEC »

Went and done Grabouw 4x4 Trail on Saturday morning. We were blessed with amazing weather and an incredibly scenic drive. The trail itself is apparently about 27km long but we didnt end up finishing it as we took our time and eventually needed to get back to sort out our baby girls milk bottles. I think its graded a 2/3 and could possibly be a 4 in some sections. The Patrol managed to walk almost all except for a tricky steep sand/boulder hill where I eventually admitted defeat, I put this down to me and not the car and im sure a more experienced driver would've sorted it out. I think if my difflock was working I may have managed to climb up fairly easily but I guess I must still learn how to drive without it. We really enjoyed the drive and will be back to finish up the rest of the route. I can definitely recommend it, the scenery makes it totally worth while and for only R150 bucks.

Very nice! I've never heard of the trail, but it looks worthwhile.
