Hi

New to Patrol 4x4

Planning on fitting a m57n2 bmw 3.0d engine on a 2005 manual 3.0di suv.

Any advise is most welcome.

Yeah....Keep us posted on how it goes. i believe that that BMW motor is plenty powerful to push that Patrol around.

Decent power and a very nice flat torque curve.

Seems very nice.

Keep us posted :)
May the road be long.. and dirty.

I drive a M57 and my wife has the N57 they are amazing.
The power characteristics and torque are fantastic. Fuel economy is outstanding. M57 530d open road is 6.8 l/100km N57 330d 5.6l/100km. Plus what I love about them is they are 6 cylinders so relatively smooth for a diesel.

Once there are a few reliable ones running around this may be the dream answer for the 3.0Di crowd

I had an X5 3.0d for years. the car is still in the family.

More than enough power for a patrol.
