Smallest deep cycle battery (dimension wise)?

Post by izakjbrt »

What is the smallest deep cycle battery (Lxwxh) available . Let say 105ah. Me and the missus had a lovely camping weekend, and started planning for our NC trip (as well as chatting about the river trip). So we were looking at space issues, and the one thing that is taking a lot of space is the portable battery (NL portable battery pack). So my question.... anyone know of a smallish size deep cycle battery? One that can fit in next to my Front Runner Patrol drawer system. If I can find a battery that can fit, then I can start looking at installing it next to the drawer system, under the side cover. But if a battery wont fit, then it’s not even an option

Basically all of the 105 amp hour batteries are the same size. There are solar batteries with different profiles though. Tijmen I think had a 200 ah which is narrower, but longer and taller.

PM me the dimensions of the space you have available and I'll check through my battery suppliers catalogues for you.

Hi Tinus

I know you mentioned another type of battery before , what’s it called again (alcohol has destroyed my short term memory)?

Phone ATS in Jhb (KOOS ROOS 082 905 9172) and ask him for the competition batteries we use in the rally cars...they about 250x80x100 . They are totally sealed and can be mounted anywhere

Finally. Battery installed next below next to the drawers. USB and cig plug in front (plus solar BH connector), and the fridge now has its own dedicated hella and switch

And a dedicated power socket, if I camp where electricity is available. Plug in and it charges the battery and runs the fridge
