Forum 10 year birthday - Gauteng 27 April 2019

Post by offroadbiker »

Good day

As everybody knows by now the forum is turning 10 this April, and we are planning a get together to celebrate this.

Detail is as Follow

Date = 27 April
Venue = Piesangkloof Situated at the foothills of Magaliesberg, North West, near Hartbeespoort.

The Main event will take place on Saturday 27 April 2019.

We will be gathering from 08h00 at the Venue.
Depart on the route at 09h00 - the 3 hour route will be our 4x4 event for the day.

13h00 we will be having lunch at the Bush camp.

Please note the following:

Route cost = R200 per vehicle - FIRST 35 VEHICLES sponsored by NISSAN SA.
Lunch = Boerie rolls with seshebo - sponsored by Nissan SA.
Cap for each driver - sponsored by Brits Nissan who is also doing all the arrangements for the day.
Patrol Forum sticker - Sponsored by IanT
10 year Aniversary sticker - Sponsored by IantT

The venue caters for camping with different accommodation facilities, so for those that want to camp please book directly with the venue.

Physical Address & GPS Co-Ordinates:
Piesangkloof Farm G10, Boschfontein, District Brits, 0250Old Rustenburg Road R104, ±15km from Dam Doryn, Hartbeespoort
GPS Co-ordinates: S25.73186 / E27.69037
Facebook Page : Piesangkloof 4x4 Trails & Bush Camp

Come test your 4x4 skills in these beautiful mountains and enjoy the day with jaw-dropping views and waterpools in the rivine. Self-help braai facility down at our bush camp.

About the Trail:It is a rustic natural rocky trail with technical sections through the foothills of Magaliesberg with beautiful scenery overlooking Hartbeespoort Dam and surrounding farm lands. There are currently 2 trails. The shorter trail is technical and an estimate of 3 hours (Trail 1), and the longer trail is even more technical, advanced/extreme, and an estimate of 5 hours.

Please note due to the rural area in an un-spoilt nature biosphere area, there are unfortunately no toilet facilities on the trail or on top of the mountain. Once you go 4x4…you go bush!

Self-Catering Accommodation - Bush Camp:Back to basics! In the tranquillity of the Magaliesberg we have a beautiful & natural private camping area at the creek.

Self-catering accommodation of Bush Wendy Houses available and Bush wagons, Motorhomes, Caravans & Tents all welcome.
Braai & pit fire areas, bush camp kitchen, ablution facilities are all natural/old school “veldtoilet and donkey showers”. No electricity! Beautiful game to view at the bush camp.
Small splash pool to swim for those hot days!

Accommodation Rates:Bush Camp Wendy House - R100 per person per night (Bunker beds - Max sleep 4 - bring own bedding)
Camping, Bush wagons, Motorhomes, Caravanning, Tents, Rooftop tents (and/or sleeping in cars) etc. - R80 per person per night.
