Tourdefrans - praat jy met my?

Hi,dit was ek ja.Ek wou net graag sien of hulle "drilled and sloted" disks is.Ek sal wag vir jou fotos
So die baan wys watter remme is goed.

Hello Sias

Dankie

  :helpsign:  ... Anybody - enigeen, what about the rear discs on the Patroll?

They have already fitted said pads to the rear, BUT the discs are really warn and scuffed to "below spec" and need replacement [before I go on the Outreach to Richtersveldt]
I tried 'Wingate" [Winbrake] but this morning isi told me that R4700 was a GOOD price ... huh??]
I now got a price from Imperial Menlyn for R1741.65 EACH for the rear discs [excl VAT] and the pads they ask "ONLY" R1102.25 for the set (rear) .. Now why in this world I got quoted so big a difference between dealers ... uhm uhm .. I dunno.

still looking for the discs though
Kagiso - I will be in the Richterveld from 26 to 28 June - might see ya! :woo:

On the brake pad issue - if I remember correctly I repalced mine in PE (all four pads) for less than R1000 (vat incl) at PE Brake and Clutch. I think they told me that it was the Nissan Caball light truck pad - not 100% sure though

Have you tried taking the worn pads to MIDAS group; AutZone; PowerBrake and ask them to try and match them?

I don't read Afrikaans so forgive me if my post is not 100% germane or repeats what was said before or whatever, but whatever else you do, DO NOT CHEAP OUT WHEN BUYING BRAKE PADS.

Get original Nissan pads, and the Aussie Patrol-heads also recommend Bendix and Ferrodo. But do NOT trust your safety or that of your family, other road users, the maniacs in taxis or the psychos driving minbusses to no-name brake pads from Ebay.
