Guys, where the devil do I find my radio code? I bought the car new and I have all the booklets etc but I can't seem to find the code anywhere. Or maybe I'm just being doff...

Every Nissan I've had, it was recorded in the owner's manual. If it isn't there at all, you may need to stop by at Nissan with your VIN. They should be able to track it down for you, I think.

Yup back of the owners manual, or if you got a separate booklet for the radio in there

Nope, nothing. Will have to get it from Nissan.

Just as a matter of interest, mine was glued onto the left inside of the glovebox. Have you looked there?

Okay, no joy. Looks like I'll have to pull the radio out to get the numbers off it. Anyone got a link to a guide as to how to get the radio out on the 4.8 GRX?

Clem.... If all else fails, get a bigger hammer..... :rolling: :rolling: ..... But on a serious note, why take it out? You will probably have to take the Cars title paper with to Nissan to get them to find the VIN no on their system and then then give you the code etc.

Having said this, I have never had a factory radio in my Patrol, so I hope I'm on the right track

Hi Cedric, no they need the number on the back or side of the radio to divine the correct code. Nissan don't keep a database of these things against VIN numbers it turns out. Same with the key. The user manual warns you that if you lose both your primary key and your spare key, there is nothing Nissan can do to help you other than to replace all the relevant parts of the ignition.

Anyway, as it turns out I had the foresight back in 2013 when I bought the vehicle to put the codes in an electronic document in the vehicle's electronic folder in my database. So my problem is solved…
