The exhaust for the 4.5 is simmilar to the 4.8. Althou a 76 mm wont make a huge diffirance.
50mm to 57mm choke in the front. Remember the first box to be the size of the rest of the system. 63mm to the back with 2 boxes. This made the best power vs sound.
I would like to add,. the choke, some people would pull up their shoulders. Yes its wrong if the engine was reving over 6000rpm.
The VG30, the same for the distribitor/ chip setting. The Ac does not make a diffirance on the timeing.
Those 3l v6's are very underrated. Its a strong engine. Only becarefull for to wild on the cams , it will steal power @ 2000 to 3000 rpm.

Dankie Frans

Will be doing some measuring this weekend.

Would these specs change at all with branches (Think they are Maus) which I have?

Yep.... I have played with a couple of VG 30's and got some brilliant power out of them but was never happy with the low down power.... forgot to mention that the lifters where upgraded with imports from Japan....... 25 % of the cost of the standard one's from the stealers but definetly helped and zero tick, tick, tick......

Frans, what does a free-flow and a 4.8 cost nowadays if you do it?

Hoe lank moet hierdie 57mm "choke" gedeelte wees?

My inlet manifold was done by a previous owner in about 2002. Just polished and very little meat removed. I have been warned about removing too much metal.

However if you go this route insist, check and pay for an original Nissan head gasket. Mine went between the 5th and 6th cylinder last year because of an aftermarket gasket that only lasted 13 years,
