New Powermax tyres
Hi I have received the agency for the Powertrac MT and AT tyres including car, truck, tractor, forklift and OTC tyres and steel rims. Some rim's mainly for trucks are aluminium alloy.
I check availability when you ask for a quote and let you know if there is stock, if no stock I have to wait for the next shipment to get cleared by customs. ( Sometimes it can take a while) gray hair time. Prices are reasonable and quality is not bad from the feedback I have received.
If you order, 2 days after receiving the proof of payment l collect the tyres for you to pick them up from me. Then take them to your friendly fitment centre for fitting and balancing. I have bought a tyre fitment machine and tyre balancing machine and give them to a "charity" group that works on cars and are panelbeaters. They are getting a couple of guys trained up on using the machines.

Re: New Powermax tyres
Do these tyres have 3 ply sidewalls, as is the case with BFG, Coopers and Dunlop D3s?
After cutting sidewalls and destroying 3 Goodyear Wrangler MTRs in one day in Namibia, I am not inclined to fit anything on my Patrol that does not have 3 ply sidewalls. I only use the Patrol for off-road Safaris.
I will however look at tyres with 2 ply sidewalls on my Pathfinder, it does not go off-road that often.

Re: New Powermax tyres
I would like to ad my experience with Powertrac tyres. I went from a set of BFG muds to a set of Powertrac muds.
The best move I ever made, Suddenly my Patrol went silent, it had MUCH better braking, less noise and half the price for a set of 33's.
I am now standing on 30k km on the Powertracs and not one puncture, even after a bit of airtime resulting in a bent rim.
They only have a 2 ply sidewall but the track runs far down the side, so no problems there.
There are purists out there that will buy an oil filter from Nissan and will stick to their brands (BFG,Hilux,Olof Bergh) and so be it.
So I opted for a set of all terrains for my SWAMBO's Terrano. She drives at 1,1 bar all the time (we live out in the sticks) and not one puncture.
I also have a set of 35 Maxxis on spare set of rims that I use for dune riding on the Patrol and they are like cheating on the wife, they are noisy, don't deflate well and wander all over the tar roads.
Never ever will I buy a BFG,Maxxis or Cooper. Powetrac all the way.

Re: New Powermax tyres
I will try getting a size chart on the forum, I'm not very PC complete so it may take a little bit of time.

Re: New Powermax tyres
285/75/16 MT is the biggest in 16"
35*12.5*17 MT is biggest in 17"
35*12.5*15 MT is biggest in 15"
I have asked if a 35*12.5*16 and 37*12.5*16 can be made available. Waiting for a reply, which takes time I have found out.

Re: New Powermax tyres
Have had the MT's on "The Firetruck" for less than 1 000 km so far and can confirm that wet weather unloaded tar handling and braking is as good if not better than STT Pro's and far superior to BF's. Will still be careful the first time I load up and hook the trailer.
Noise levels similar to STT Pro's.
Will however order a larger size if available next time as real life measurements pumped to 2.5 bar are;
Contact patch width - Powermax 230 mm - STT Pro 250 mm
Diameter - Powermax 804 mm - STT Pro 812 mm after 70 000 km. Cooper claims 838 mm new but was probably closer to 830 mm.
In other words the 285 X 75 X 16 is not quite a 32" tyre in real life so will get 315 X 75 X 16 next time if available.
