Just returned from a work trip with the red gq with the 4.5 petrol engine.

The job took me into the north of South Africa first.
I went to Ellisras first. Then to Potgietersrus (very nice drive in the mountains) and on to Lebowakgomo.
Home for the weekend.

Then up to Louis Trichard , Messina , Tzaneen , Thoyandou , Burgersfort , Nelspruit and Witbank.
Home for the weekend.

Then Secunda and Standerton.
Home again.

The Tuesday after Easter weekend I Loaded the magnetometer and set the gps to zero.
The week started at Vryheid then Ladysmith , Kokstad and Umthatha. Found a place in East London to leave the Patrol and flew back home for the weekend.
Back on Monday and off to Grahamstown , Queenstown , Sterkspruit , Bloemfontein , Klerksdorp and back home.
The gps measured 2980km on the last leg of the job alone.

The point of all this is that the Patrol just worked faultlessly. No oil used , and a steady 6.5km/l.
This is a 20 year old car with more than 500k km on the clock and there is nothing wrong with it.

The potholes and hooligan drivers never bothered me as the car intimidates the idiot drivers and eats bad roads.

Oops. Cut the top quarter of the tree 3/4 way through and tried to break it off with the Patrol.
