Hi Everyone
I am trying to find out if anyone has replaced their GQ front drivers seat or if they have had it refurbished. Mine is not as comfortable as I would like on long trips so looking at the alternatives. If anyone can provide advice/guidance it would be appreciated.

Re: GQ replacement front seat
I bought some ford focus seats about 2 years ago for R500 a seat and made some brackets. Even some GU guys said it sits very nicely but it takes a bit of effort to make it work. I also know Alex Roux had his refurbished and some padding added that also sits very very nicely now. I dont know of any direct replacements.

Re: GQ replacement front seat
I had Skilpad’s seats re-upholstered. That worked well.
In the case of Toro, the driver’s seat was completely fubar. So replaced them with Jetta seats. They sit well, but had to do some work for the rails to fit.

Re: GQ replacement front seat
I had a set of AUDI 500e seats installed in LOBO -- Really GREAT and super comfy. THEN Leon Zeelie wets my battery by advertising a 160 being scrapped and selling parts .. SO I bought the front seats and they are in Lobo now. The Audi seats, WITH adapted raile o fit Nissan floor up for grabs. I payed R800 for the two (Excluding rails) - selling it for same price [incl rails] now

Re: GQ replacement front seat
Thanks everyone.
I was thinking to try and keep it as simple as possible so a refurbishment may be the best way to go. I live in EL so am sure I will be able to find someone to do that. Reason for he post was to find out if there was any "easy" swap seats I could put in.
I would be interested in seeing those seats and rails that you have Kagiso. Please PM me a few photos if you can.
