Its official, the QX80 has arrived in SA

Post by Alex Roux »

Well, if you know what the Y62 Patrol looks like, then it is only a small step in outward looks that will make you realise that the Infinity QX80 is the same car, only more fancy
I bit like the big Lexus that looks a lot like the Cruiser 200.

So it is now official. The fancy version of the new Patrol has arrived in SA:

So do you like it?
Its got air suspension that ensures that car remains level even when towing. So no air bags required inside your coils!
Sounds very complex to me. Can you still lift it? Just in case one of us spends some serious mulla and bring it along to the River Trip in August?
Wonder whether this means that the Y62 Patrol Proper will also come soon?

Less than a G Wagen and probably half the price when three years old. Not for me though. Doesn't appeal to me.

YUK.... (I think I got a little vomit in my mouth as soon as I saw it )...... How can ANY company produce a vehicle as ugly as that..... Its almost a style copy of the also damn ugly Ssanyong Musso

And for that kind of money, I would want something funky yet stylish with some beefy strong look, not something that looks like it has a big nose and is sucking on a sour sweet

But that's just my opinion

Jip, spoke to the owner of the nissan dealership here. He says they are not bringing in the Y62. So the closest will get is the QX80. It is also featured in the new leasure wheels. And leasure wheels like to use the name Patrol in their feature. that peeeed me off a bit. That thing is not close to a Patrol. And its so ugly. I cant think that anyone would buy it.

Just look at the size of the rims: 22 inch  , I don't think you can even buy an all terrain tyre in that size?
