Patrol Y61 discontinued

Hi Guys,
A quick question: I have noticed that Nissan SA no longer list the Y61 Patrol on their website. It has the Y61 Pick-up along with the new Y62. Will they no longer supply the Y61 locally?
Has this been the quiet end for the Y61?

Oh my goodness, I'm not ready to live in a world without solid axle 4x4's. I'll need a few months to process this news...

I don't see the solution for a true African overlander. The patrol Y62 is now all round independent suspension. The Cruiser V8 cannot drink anything more than 50ppm diesel, the Defender is gone and the Jeep Wrangler is all that is left with the 76/79 Cruisers. Somehow I don't buy into Wranglers for trans-Africa overlanding.

They are suppose to both be available specially the diesel

Well, it seems that this is the way the world is moving...
Read somewhere recently that the next Gelandwagen will also have IFS.

I will phone the person in charge of patrol at nissan tomorrow and give feedback ...last time he said as long as nissan japan makes it they will sell it
