I'm glad the Patrani / Sanitrol is alive.

Makes all the pain worthwhile.

Now sort out that rear diff.

On the farm here its not bothering me with the low speeds and sand and dune riding. I'll get a reminder tomorrow when I have to go to town and do "high speed" driving.

That diff size and strength is reassuring out here though. Yesterday one of the guys tried pulling a flatbed car trailer out of the bush. They first got the Isuzu Mu stuck, then the Syncro Caravelle. So we first got the Syncro and Mu out the sand where they had sunk in to the chassis, then got the trailer hooked to the Sani. Damn high towbar had the front wheels of the trailer off the ground, and the tail dragging in the sand, but the Sani got it dragged out to the harder stuff, till I wanted to reverse it into place next to the road, and its chassis wedged into the road. The harder I pushed, the higher the Sani lifted its ass, and the harder it wedged the ass of the trailer into the ground.

This LSD is also awesome. Makes it feel like it's getting windup constantly in 4x4, but in the sand it feels super grippy. Maybe I am just not used to how this needs to feel, but its good fun being able to hold up the convoy and do things at such low speeds that the other guys get stuck behind me because the don't have enough momentum. But dunes are a bit of a bugger with how much power these 33s sap off the motor. Think I need to start looking at a 4.2TD conversion, lol.

Lol ja, I would try extend forward, but lets leave that for the day I got 50k laying around with nothing to do.

I am now looking for replacement GU or GQ rear coils after affirmative shoppers helped themselves to my spares where they were stored at some family on the plots. Along with my spare steel for the rear radias arms Jakes donated, my 3" mandrel exhaust bends and 3" pipe for the rest of the system, and my bigass ramps I always used to hold the Sani up in place when working under it. Oh, and the Sani's old torsion bars that were going to become my sway bars. Starting my collecting of spares and bits and bobs from scratch.... seriously frustrating.

Yesterday coming back from town, I pick up a rattling noise from the rear when cruising at exact engine revs, no torque on diff, or running against motor, just cruising to maintain speed. This morning I pop in under the Sani to find that the pinion has a bit of play on it.

NOW WHAT???

I don't know shops here on the West Coast, and as usual, there is no budget to do this job
