You can try Sams Radio in Gallo Manor, Sandton.
But why 27Mhz? I do not know if the CB band is still very active. Most people is on the ORRA VHF channels for which you can get the license through 4x4 Community.

Re: 27 Mhz whip antenae
I will not say it is off no use, there may be action there but limited. I will keep it and add a VHF to the Trol.

Re: 27 Mhz whip antenae
A lot of (Cape) guys use 29mhz. I have them in my vehicles. They have their uses and are a good back up or second line of comms depending on what you're doing. While people are hannahannering on the VHF you can do private line on 29mhz to your maaaitjies. I've also been in situations where VHF comms was poor and the 29meg worked. Another lekker feature is you have a LOT of channels to talk on so never have congestion. Anyhoo, not to start the old VHF vs 29mhz debate, I'm telling you they definitely have a use, don't throw it away.
I use the same radio that you have in your picture. Some had both 27 and 29 frequencies programmed. Some only 27mhz. The 27 mhz ones I took to the local agent (in Cape Town) who flashed the firmware and loaded the 29mhz frequencies for R100
27mhz = old CB radios
29mhz = old maritime and 4x4 radios (and disaster management and bushfires blah blah)

No need to join a club if you buy the ORRA license through 4x4 Community

Re: 27 Mhz whip antenae
RF technologies in Alberton can sort you with an antenna. I've got a tel number of a guy that sorted and installed my VHF. PM me if you need his number
