Buying online from Australia

I didn't know where to post this so moderators please move or delete or whatever applies.

I recently bought a load of parts from onlineautoparts.com.au
Apart from one annoyance to vet that I wasn't a scammer, apparently only happens on your first purchase, the process was painless.
1. Placed the order and made the payment
2. They came back to me saying that they had made a small refund on my account that I had to identify n order to be vetted. Neither the refund nor my payment reflected on my credit card online banking yet so I sent a partially obscured photo of my POP email which they accepted
3. Next morning received confirmation from DHL
4. The following day received tax stuff from local DHL and made payment via their portal
5. Four days later received my parcel.

So I'm happy. Besides the inconvenience of vetting myself for the first purchase I'm happy with the price and the apparent quality of the parts. And it was a damn sight easier and quicker than dealing with my local Nissan dealer who is only 1km from my house. I went a bit crazy and included service parts like brake pads etc as well on the spur of the moment. Some of the parts are genuine Nissan, and the generics look ok quality.
As far as import duties goes the paperwork made my brain hurt but round figures I paid just under 15% on the total cost including courier (R5212-77 including courier/ R770-60 tax)
While I was busy buying I noticed that they sell Tough Dog suspension parts if anybody is interested in buying direct. Caught my eye because I have it on my Patrol

Also got a package coming from Partsouq.com as well for stuff I couldn't get from Oz. Painless order but I haven't received the parcel yet. More expensive generally, but mostly genuine parts, and delivery is much cheaper (only $20).

Anyhoo. Maybe this might be of help to somebody. Use it/don't use it :mytwocents:

One more point on the onlineautoparts order. You get offered three delivery options. I opted for the most expensive option (DHL) for peace of mind because (1) I couldn't bear the thought of dealing with the SA Post Office, (2) I wanted the package to actually arrive, and (3) I'm pretty sure the Post Office would have scammed me out of extra fees

Just some feedback incase it's of benefit to somebody. The knuckle and wheelbearing rebuild kit I bought claimed to be "same as OEM" or some such blurb, and on stripping the axle yesterday I found that the markings on the original bearings were identical to the bearings that came in the kit. So same stuff and the affordable Aussie import is legit
