I am looking for a set of bolt on spacers for my bakkie's rear wheels. 45mm would be perfect to accomodate the 90mm narrower track of the rear wheels, but 30mm will do.
If anyone is selling or know of someone selling some. Please let me know.
4x4direct sels the 30mm spacers. If i cant get secondhand ones I will buy from them.

Re: 30-45mm wheel adaptors/spacers
Hallo Fanus
Ther verdict is still out on wheel-spacers.
Provided that they are very very well made they should be ok.
The problem with the 4x4 direct spacers is that this spacer does not have the "locating lip" which locates the actual rim onto the wheelhub . So you are basically locating the wheel just with the wheelbolts ..... not good.
My suggestion would be to make your own drawing which considers all the necessary design elements and have it done at an engineering shop. There is also a company in Pretoria called Maugene Engineering / 171 Voorhammer Str. Silvertondale / 012 804 1170. Will cost about 700-800 Rand / spacer.

Re: 30-45mm wheel adaptors/spacers
I have looked at maugene, (got a qoute from them last week). Their spacers looks the same as the 4x4direct ones. (Unless they can custom make other ones).
They were about R200 more expensive per spacer - for a steel spacer. 4x4direct spacers are alu.
Can you give me more info on this "locating lip" you are talking about: Is this used for lining up the wheels properly when fitting?
Not sure if this is applicable on the pickup's hubs?
EDIT: had another look at their spacers. See what you mean wrt the locating lip:

Is it really that bad and why?

excuse my poor English. My technical English might be even worse and I might not always use the correct technical term.
My understanding is that the center hole of the rim has a diameter of 110 mm.
The wheel hub is (I think) 108/109 . However this diameter increases to (109/110) right at the end of the wheel hub (a few mm wide). The purpose for this increase in diameter is (so I think) is the correct location of the rim onto the wheel-hub. If you are talking about fitting 30-40 mm spacers than this design feature should ideally be replicated on the spacer.
With regards to Maugrene Engineering:
If you go there they will take the wheel off , measure the hub rim etc and they will manufacture the components accordingly.
