Hi guys,
I am looking for a pickup. After much research I finally decided on the 3l. I found one which looks to be pretty good, a 2015 with 72k kms on the clock. Most of the ones I have checked out are either rusting underneath, and/or had the paint scrubbed off the front axle. While this one doesn't show any signs of abuse, it has an oil leak which seems to be coming from the sump. I will go back and check that a bit better though. Do you guys know if there are any things I should be looking at that might be a bigger problem with the leak, or anybody in the Centurion area who I could contact to have a look at the vehicle?
Thanks

Micheal ( SOJO Motors ) or Graham (G-Tech Motors ) are the Patrol gurus in Pta area. I think Micheal is more on the diesel side though. Get into contact with both and I know they will both give you a straight up honest answer.

Re: Advice on pickup purchase
Michael is currently taking part in the world angling champs in France, and will only be back early next month. Not sure if he has internet access where he is, but he certainly won't be able to check out a vehicle from over there.
I understand the 3l CRD motor is pretty good, but also responds well to some basic mods. The only fault I know of is the old Patrol bugbear of the locker's solenoid getting sticky from disuse. Just take it onto some dirt and make sure all the buttons do what they are supposed to.

Thanks for the advice guys. I've started another thread to detail the long journey ahead.
