Cape Town Get 2gether

Fellow Cape Townians

We know here are quite a few Patrols in the Cape Town area already and over the past few months a few more arrived including Jade, Mike and myself amongst others

It was suggested in Mike's welcoming post to have a get together so we can put faces to names.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a date and venue we can use? It doesn't have to be a offroad track, maybe just somewhere we can meet, talk, share experience, knowledge of our vehicles and even have something to eat or drink (depending how hungry or thirsty your are).

We can then discuss having more regular get togethers or evens trails to do in the future.

Proposed date(s): 8 June 2019

Venue: 1. Hollow Tree Durbanville 12 Old Oak Road

Time: 11h00.

List so far:
1. Sweetlips (Lawrence)
2. JTEC (Jade)
3. Bre (Brent)
4. Mizio (Maurizio)
5. Tour de Frans (Frans) to join us later.

Yes please :woo: count me in.

Atlantis could be lekka. But if we want it casual then I can suggest a Trigger Fish in Somerset West. Very good beer and food and has a very big outside area where we can park

Regardless I’m in :goodpost:

June 1st :imsorry: I will still be at work.

M2CW - :oldtimer: If not a 4x4 venue then for travelling reasons, I would suggest either Triggerfish in S/west as mentioned or somewhere in the northern suburbs? As mentioned maybe the 1st meeting shouild be a get to know as opposed to a 4x4 route?

If 4x4 route the Alantis Dunes, or 2 Oceans and if a "little" bit more challenging venue required then Honingklip in Botriver area (Has a mean brewery and great restuarant).

Maybe if we can get an idea of how many Patrollers live in each general area, Northern or Southern suburbs etc then for a 1st meeting I would suggest meet at the area with the most members and take it from there?

Can someone put a CT members list together and send everyone a heads up e-mail? There maybe be some members who are not checking in here that often and will miss it.

Will be a tad annoyed at missing the first one but will attend any GTG when Im home.

Ernie

Ernest i agree that the 1st meeting should, not must, be so we can get to know each other, put names to faces, etc.

I know of a few owners in the Southern suburbs/Blouberg region, and a few in the Northern suburbs region and a few in the Somerset/Stellenbosch region. Then there are members in Worcester and the Boland areas. Maybe a venue in the Northern suburbs area would be more central for everyone.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a suitable venue in the Northern suburbs?

The Hollow tree at Old Oak 12 Old Oak rd Bellville by Tygervalley center is pretty central, let’s say Friday the 7 th June at 15:00
Gives everyone enough time to make the get together
Come with your Patrol so we know you one of the team

Is only a suggestion
