Re: Duine trip 2019. 9-13 October
Hi Everyone
The dune trip is drawing near and I would like to update the attendance list.
Please let me know if you are joining us on this event, need better indication of numbers to convince suppliers it is a good marketing opportunity and therefore twist their arms for some giveaways and prizes.
Unfortunately low attendance = less to no support from the suppliers. (Many of them watch the forums and do year planning of promo items accordingly). Let's show them that we are worthy!
Tommie, please can you give us a breakdown on the tentative happenings for the days following arrival.
9 October 2019 (Wednesday) - Arrival, set up and settle down (Novice/Training dunes in afternoon?)
10 October 2019 (Thursday) -
11 October 2019 (Friday) -
12 October 2019 (Saturday) -
13 October 2019 (Sunday) - Groot trek huistoe!
Thanks
Van

Re: Duine trip 2019. 9-13 October
Hi Maats.
I will try and do this in 'BRTIS'. Thanks Vaness for sorting our sponsors. And for helping like always on planning for the Dunes trip. Yes we arrive on the Wednesday and if there is enough time to do the back dunes(small) in the afternoon we can go for a warm up session. The Thursday we will do the back dunes route in the morning, and then after lunch we will do the bigger dunes across the road.
Friday, we will do the rest of the dunes across the road and a time trail in the dunes.
Saturday is 1/4 Mile
Guys please add your names to the list. Vaness if you can start a list please, Mari and myself, and Dawid Volschenk also ask to have his name on the list. You can also add Thys and Japie please.
This time round we camp on the pan infront of the lodge. The distance from Upington to Goerapan is 100km. Allow for enough fuel there and back. Upington is the last place to fill up with fuel and to stock up with ice and snacks. One fire in the centre of our camp guys, and we will all kuier around the fire at night. Temperature should be worm day time but the nights might get chilly. Remember enough ice. I will ask the lodge to try and carry stock for us. There is only limited power, so bring your solar panells etc.
Toilets and showers, it is a 2-3 star facility, hot water for showers is made by means of a 'DONKIE'. Water at the pan is drinkable, but I would suggest that you bring your own
Guys please join us on this trip, as our sponsors do spend allot of monies and effort to be there. Thanks once again to Turbologix for the sponsor of the drags, lights and timming equipment. Vaness from G-TECH, for your help and sponsor of the prices.
Remember this year we want to crown the fastest Patrol, diesel and Petrol in South Africa.
Any questions please ask, and if anyone needs to add.....please do so.
